    European acrobatic gymnastics championships

     

    After medal success at the recent European age-group championships our junior and senior gymnasts are now in final preparation for the acrobatic gymnastics European Championships starting in Rzeszow, Poland on Thursday 19th October.

    In the senior category, 14 National Federations are sending 114 gymnasts whcih include 7 women’s pairs, 11 men’s pairs, 10 mixed pairs, 10 women’s groups and 7 men’s groups. In the junior competitions 15 National Federations will be represented by 148 gymnasts with 7 women’s pairs, 9 men’s pairs, 23 mixed pairs, 18 women’s groups and 4 men’s groups.

    Live streaming of the whole championships will be available here along with the latest scores. The Olympic Channel will also livestream this event at olympicchannel.com amd the UEG will upload videos to their YouTube page here.

    Competition format

    All pairs and groups are required to perform two exercise in qualification: a balance and a dynamic routine of which the combined score will determine the all-around finalists. The top 8 advance to the all-around final, or the top 6 if there are less than 12 participants, with a limit to 1 per country. In the final the combined routine will be performed. The top 8 per exercise also advance to the individual finals.
